🚀 In a few days, @spacex and @nasa will be launching astronauts to space from the US for the first time since 2011 and the end of the Space Shuttle Program. The crew will ride into orbit in the Crew Dragon capsule atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. This was the perfect day to re-share my favorite timelapse of all time, a SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket launch above Los Angeles. The rocket took off from the Vandenberg Air Force Base, 100+ miles away from Downtown LA, back in October 2018. I shot this timelapse at 1” interval and the other lights you can see are planes and helicopters, not aliens.

My work is a way for me to express myself, share my emotions, my feelings, my mood, my creativity. But I am not going to lie, all of them took a huge hit the past few weeks. Not being able to create and share my work as much as I need to, really took me down. We, independent creators, are sometimes feeding ourselves from the content we are creating on a daily basis. It brings us a feeling of accomplishment and creativity that we need in order to thrive. When this is disrupted, things can get tough. And it’s not just about the money, it’s also about our mental and our energy. It will easily go down if we don’t find a way to keep them alive.

One text is not going to kill you, and it can make someone’s day. We need to support each other during this hard time because what you see on social media is ABSOLUTELY not the reality. And I am sure, most people are going through difficult time at the moment, personally and/or professionally, so… lets just take care of each other as much as we can! :)
Shooting with a short interval like 1 second allows you to capture very smooth timelapses at any time of the day! I like to call them S&S timelapses, for Sweet and Smooth! While one camera is capturing a full day to night, the second is capturing some cool S&S! Which one is your favorite? I love the golden hour one!
